Trying the car for the first time were drivers from BMW's Spartanburg Performance Driving School, Bill Auberlen, BMW's longstanding race driver and Ludwig Willisch, president and CEO of BMW North America. They were not only impressed with the car's handling on track but on it's fuel economy performance as well, now officially measured at up to 36 MPG.
